Monday (Washington, D.C.)
We will be touring monuments and neighborhoods as we travel through D.C. with a potential stop or two to see various sites.
- Morning – The First Ladies Collection – The National Museum of American History
- The collection was updated recently with a broader focus about the role first ladies played in American politics and culture
- Lunch in D.C.
- Afternoon – U.S. Botanicial Garden – Grounds of the U.S. Capitol
- Established in 1820, it is one of the oldest botanical gardens in North America and hosts seasonal exhibits.
Tuesday (City of Alexandria, VA)
- Morning – Tour the Old Town Alexandria and visit the Carlyle House and Gardens
- The Carlyle House was built in 1751-1753 and has been a vital place during critical times of our Nation.
- Lunch at Gadsby’s Tavern
- Afternoon – Explore Waterfront and Torpedo Factory (Artist Studios with one of a kind art)
